Hi AIFS,
I feel very good. My family is so nice and I like them all so much. I was in Sydney the last Thursday till Monday with Anna, Peter and the twins. I had a few days off, so I had enough time to visit the Aquarium and Wildlife World. I also was in the Chinese Garden and visited a friend in Manly and Anna and Peter took me to the Art Gallery.
Here in Perth, I found some new friends. Most of them are Au-Pairs, too. I like to go for a walk with the kids and every monday morning Anna and I are going to a swimming-course with them. I met some friends of Anna and Peter and the Grandparents are coming once a week for a visit.
Amelia and Tom are still trying to walk and they like it when I sing the german children-songs and some of the nursery rhymes I learned during my worktime in Germany.
Tonight we will have a big barbie, because Julia (the last Au-Pair) is going to Melbourne this week. She was here for two days when I arrived. This was good for me, because I could ask her some things and she showed me many places to go out and we met friends of her, which are now my fiends, too.
She and Francy (the first Au-Pair in this family) started to make a big folder about Australia, Perth and surroundings, Sydney and other bigger cities. There are many information in it about places in Australia that you should have seen and maps of cities and bus-time-tabels.
I am very thankful about this folder and I'm also collecting information and maps and put it in the folder for the next Au-Pair after my time here. I think it's very helpful and the next will have a good time, too.
In Sydney I missed my home the first time. I was at the Moonlight Market on friday and even if I enjoyed it and liked the music, I always thought that this is something I would normally do with my best friends in Germany. So, I got a little bit sad. But I think it's okay. I will have a good time here and sometimes I will miss my friends and family but that's normal.
I enjoy my new life in Australia :)
Many Greetings from the sunny side in Australia (because the last days in Sydney were rainy)
;)
Nadine
